College Night
It’s never too early to begin 
thinking about your child’s 
college career!  Come learn the requirements for college and how you can prepare your child now.  All are K.R. Smith families are invited to this event on Thursday, November 5, 2009 in the 
multipurpose room from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  The first 50 people to attend will receive a free slice of pizza and juice.  Pizza and drinks will be sold at the event!

Reading Comprehension and Strategies
From 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in the multipurpose room, we will have a parent education 
workshop on "Reading 
Comprehension and Strategies". Come learn how to help your child with reading 
comprehension and receive strategies to help your child 
become a better reader.  Library card applications will be available.  You will leave with resources to help your child at home and a list of books 
recommended for your child’s grade level.  Resources will be given only to those that RSVP.   Please return the form sent home last week to RSVP.  Prizes and snacks will be handed out.  We hope to see you there!
